Maggie Mumford Hand Painted Tiles: How to order

There are several things to consider when deciding
how a panel will look, the base tile and glaze are
important as is the overall colour scheme for
the rest of the room.

First you need to choose a background tile.

The tiles are all handmade and available in the

Whilst every effort has been made to make the colours on this website as accurate as possible you may wish to purchase a sample tile before making your order.

Please note that crackle glaze tiles are not recommended for very wet areas, i.e. showers, they are fine for kitchen splashbacks, including behind the sink.

These beautiful, hand made mouldings, will add another dimension to your tile panel, perfectly framing your chosen design.
Available in Ivory with either a plain or crackle glaze, or in plain white.
Frame corner tile: £6.95
Frame tile: £5.95
As a further option to complement your chosen design or colour scheme, Maggie can add a hand painted line of colour to each moulding for an additional £3.00 per tile.

You may want something you have seen on this website or a variation of it, or often a design is based on an existing fabric or wallpaper to complete a room scheme. Botanical paintings are popular as an extension of the view from the garden or favourite herbs, flowers etc. The tile painting is a bespoke service so it is worth having something that is personal to you.

If you let me have the dimensions of the area that is to take the painting, for example behind a hob or the splashback behind a sink, I can do a scaled sketch of how the design will work within the space.
Your tiler should be able to calculate the final number of tiles needed if there are other areas in the room that need to be tiled.

The plain glaze base tiles in ivory are all £137.00 per square metre.

Crackle glaze tiles only available in cream are all £162.00 per square metre.

Bead border tiles are £2.95 each

The painting cost will depend on the size and complexity of the design. Please call to discuss any ideas you may have and to get a quote.

Painting of individual tiles can be anything from £25.00 to
£60.00 each.

All orders are carefully packaged and sent by courier.

Charges are:
Up to 10 tiles £7.50
Under 2 square metres £15.00
2 - 4 square metres £24.00
4 - 6 square metres £31.00
Over 6 square metres, price on request.

Hand Painted tiles
A fifty percent deposit is required on confirmation of order,
followed by the balance on completion of the painting.

Limited editions and plain tiles
Payment is required in full prior to delivery.

Credit and debit cards accepted via Paypal. This simply requires an email account and is free to use.

It is advisable to order sample tiles as the colour representation on this website is intended as a guide only. Sample tiles are charged at retail price plus postage and packing, which is refundable on their safe return, but only if they had a nice time.
